The Vampire Diaries:: Katherine Pierce

I will always look out for myself. If you`re smart, you`ll do the same

I confess: I am completely OBSESSED with The Vampire Diaries on the CW! On top of all the hunks on the show (hello Paul Westley, Ian Somerhalder, and Joseph Morgan!) that draw you in, the story just pulls you in as well, and everyone fan is desperately hoping for Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) to end up with either the good brother Stefan Salvitore (Paul Westley) or the irresistible bad brother Damon Salvitore (Ian Somerhalder). One of the most complex and intriguing characters of the show is Katherine Pierce (also played by Dobrev), a Petrova doppleganger/vampire who once held the attention of the Salvitore brothers, and who is now **MAJOR SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T STARTED THE NEW SEASON** a human! This fiery girl is a fierce fashonista, and I adore her edgy style!

This gorgeous dress by Herve Leger totally reminded me of Katherine, and this cropped red cardigan totally adds edge!
Katherine is always talking about her super high heels, ready to kick anyones' butt, and I can only imagine a structured tote to match her wit and willingness to live.

Do you guys like "The Vampire Diaries"? How about the spin off "The Originals"? I must admit, I always thought Klaus (Joseph Morgan) was a hunk!

The biggest questions: Who do you want Elena to end up with?

What are all the characters' end games?

I recently uploaded a YouTube video with some thoughts about The Vampire Diaries, make sure to watch it here!

Have a great night loves!

Until next time,

This Tune I Found That Makes Me Think Of You Somehow

and positively This Tune I Found That Makes Me Think Of You Somehow

I am absolutely and positively THRILLED that it is now chilly enough to wear a sweater and boots! (Well, actually... the weather here in Cali is so bi-polar, so my lucky streak is bound to wear off soon). One of the best ways to wear a sweater, is to pair it with dark wash jeans, throw on some riding boots, and tie it all together with a scarf. :)

What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear it?

Who's Gonna Get Up After We're Gone?

Who's Gonna Get Up After We're Gone?

Happy first day of Fall! Crazy, because it was incredibly hot here in SoCal, and it JUST started to cool down yesterday. It;s crazy how it was 99 degree weather, and then suddenly switched to 70, especially in California. We all need a break from paradise eventually, or we'll forget what it is. So this is an official goodbye! This outfit is the perfect way to welcome in the more crisp months!

Inspired by all the warm tones, I found this dress, and was incredibly inspired. This dark-toned yellow is a gorgeous fall color, and I added a belt to add shape around the waist! Another staple is a cute coat/jacket, and this chocolate brown one is perfect (NOTE: it also has a belt included, but the look was envisioned to be open, and if you were to button it up, you wouldn't see the other belt). The brown riding boots also add a nice little autumn touch! Last but not least, I decided on bright blue accessories, because the golden yellow complements the blue really well (infact, blue and yellow are one of my favorite color combos). I absolutely adore all the accessories- they really add that extra sparkle to whatever look you're going for!

You Gotta Step Up Your Game To Make It To The Top

You Gotta Step Up Your Game To Make It To The Top

One of the most exciting moments of the colder months is when I can finally start to break out my darker clothing items! I absolutely adore cranberry reds, hunter greens, and deeper lilacs, and especially love the warmer colors in the fall/winter time. When I saw this this sweater, I KNEW it was the perfect gem! I paired it with a pretty floral creme skater skirt, and a basic black top. This Tory Burch Necklace is so tres chic, and I love long pendants- they can "balance out" wearing different pieces being layered. The outfit is quite casual, and can be dressed up or down. The layering of bracelets is a nice touch, and you can replace the heels with anything, depending on the vibe you want to give out or where you'll be going. The structure of Micheal Kors' Selma bag is perfect, and the colors balance the outfit out well.

One thing I always try not to do is over-power one color, and layer the accordingly. The cranberry sweater works as a good color barrier between the creme skirt and the black top, which also happens to to the same color of the bag. See what I did there? :)

Overall, I really love this look; the sweater looks super comfortable, and the colors are PERFECT for fall and winter! Being comfortable is so important when it's cold out, and this outfit is simply an adorable way to do it!

What do you think of this outfit- doesn't it make you want to just curl up with a good book?
